All our staff involved in leasing and/or property management activities are licensed by the South Carolina Real Estate Commission. All personnel involved in the handling of funds are bonded and insured.
Matt Couch, Broker-In-Charge & Co-Owner
A native of North Carolina, Matt has resided in Hilton Head Island/Bluffton since 1982. He first fell in love with the lowcountry during the summer of 1978 while working on the island between semesters at Davidson College. It was then and there that he met his future wife, Sandra. In the thirty years that have followed, Matt has been involved in real estate sales, vacation rental management, association management and mortgage banking. Matt and Sandra have two children who attend school in Hilton Head. His free time, once devoted to golf, is now spent traveling to high school cross country and soccer games in support of his children.
Jennifer Macgowan, Property Manager & Co-Owner (843)683-0516
A South Carolina licensed Realtor in Hilton Head/Bluffton since 1995, Jennifer began her concentration in property management in 2006. Her love of people, knowledge of the area and desire to please all with whom she works has endeared her to clients and customers alike. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, she has resided in Bluffton/Hilton Head since 1979. She has two grown sons living in Charleston.
Dean Jacobsen, General Manager & Co-Owner (843)384-3979
Educated as an accountant at the University of Minnesota, Dean became interested in real estate early in his career finding himself the controller of a real estate development company specializing in the development of subsidized multi family housing. His natural ambition and inquisitiveness led him to entering the property management business some 30+ years ago. An entrepreneur at heart, he built one company to 35,000 units under management before selling and embarking on another property management venture. He and his wife, Susan, moved to Hilton Head Island in 1997 after their only daughter left for college. The vision for Realty Management Advisors came from his many years of varied property management experience and his dream to finally create a property management company to surpass all expectations.
